The BScalf

This is the exterior of my latest long-term design endeavor.  This is a 1968 basic split level in the south side of Seattle, WA.  The house was nothing special and you can find literally dozens of similar floor plans all around this neighborhood.  This was an estate sale, and we decided to move into it, and take our time to remodel it.  It was a sadly neglected home, and we’re pretty sure we were literally the second owners.  The place had good solid bones, but was out of date and smelled of cigarettes and pets. 

As you can see on the outside, we have completely transformed the look and feel of the house.  With painting, a new garage door, and a decidedly Mid-Century Modern front door, it’s now the nicest on the block.
