Anything Goes, Twelfth Night Productions, West Seattle High School Theater, Seattle WA.

This was my first official gig for Twelfth Night, which ended up being my home theatre group for many years. I volunteered to do this design after a couple of productions (Music Man and Oliver!) where it became apparent that they didn’t really have a designer specific. I was also working at a design and decorating company at the time, so I knew I had the resources to build the pieces off-site. As with a lot of productions with this team, I acted as the Designer and sort of ersatz Technical Director, where I would build many pieces at the warehouse at work, or in my basement, then they’d be assembled by the TD on stage.

At first I was going for a kind of steam punk aesthetic, as you can see it turned out a bit more glam!
